The newest edition to a The Curly Bird range is the Peppermint Cleanser Bar.
This low lathering shampoo bar is a gentle cleanser that doesn't leave the hair feeling raw yet helps remove impurities and works well in hard water. Very different from traditional shampoo bars currently on the market. Most shampoo bars fall into two categories, soap bars or pressed shampoo bars. Both can't be PH balenced and both are two alkaline for hair and scalp health.
The Curly bird focus is to use the gentlest ingredients instead of toning down harsh ingredients. Using the highest quality ingredients to achieve high quality results. using high quality ingredients means no fillers are used so bars also last longer. The cleanser bar comes with natural loofah as a drainning mat to help take care of your bar. Also converting it's tin into a travel tin for when your on the go.

A years ago, I was lucky enough to be one of the first clients of Danika's to user her new shampoo and conditioner bars. I was keen as mustard as they say as I am a 'developing sustainable minimalist', and I am always wanting to try organic and sustainable and eco products, and find one made by a local was too much to resist! I asked with excitement can I use it Danika??? Is it just for the Curly People? Can me with my think straight hair use it??? To my pleasant surprise she said of course!!!!!! So off I went with my bars in hand. I will say for the novices, it's a change, but it's just mindset...you just have to change what you are used to...which is a lot of bubbles and waste and plastic! This product cleans my hair and scalp and makes it feel so clean without stripping it, I use it with the Conditioning Bar and I dont use a lot of this product unless my hair is very dirty or has had styling products in it. Recently when I have been renovating I have had dust etc in my hair and have had to wash my hair every night rather than every 4-6 days ( yes when you use these products you dont need to wash your hair all the time but if you want to you can!), and I was so pleasantly surprised. So the top reasons I never went back. 1. IT WORKS !!!! My hair always looks amazing 2. Its economical 3. Its good for the planet and me, low carbon footprint and organic 4. NO WASTE 5. Easy to pack, never leaks! 6. I love skipping any isle in the supermarket especially ones that create waste and have lost of chemicals that I want to avoid. I’ve been using the Cleanser Bar for quite a while now and I rate it better than any other Curly Girl Method cleansers I’ve used! I love how you can lather it up before applying so your hair is getting a good clean. Hair feels refreshed and makes your curls nice and bouncy. It also lasts a long time and there’s no wastage. Highly recommend!
It is a difference experience using a shampoo bar. I love using the Peppermint cleanser bar and it goes a long way, it’s very economical and does foam up. Two washes each time and my hair feels squeaky clean. After using the conditioner and my hair dries my hair feels very very light and is definitely not weighed down at all.
I love the Shampoo bar and I will never go back to regular shampoo. It took a few goes to get used to using a bar instead of more traditional shampoos but once you do its great! My hair feels cleaner and healthier than it ever did! Gone are the days of washing my hair 2 or 3 times in a row and it still didn't feel this good!
I've recently moved to using the curly bird cleanse and conditioner bars after years of using traditional liquid curlygirl approved shampoos/cleansers/conditioners. My curls are absolutely loving it!! They are soft, defined, shiny and full of volume. 100% recommend!
